There is a pack of coyotes living nearby. When a police siren announces the local speed trap, the singing dogs join in — as does our cattle dog Roo. This good-looking fellow was caught by our critter cam on his (or her) usual rounds.
We’ve had numerous encounters with the local pack … some unfortunate. Our dog Bandit has gotten into three fights with possibly young and inexperienced coyotes. These have proved quick and deadly for the coyotes. But Bandit Does not come out unscathed, either, typically suffering numerous holes in his face.
